About Corinne

I met Corinne Farago in the summer of 1996. She showed up at my doorstep in Toronto one evening with a compact T.V / video unit. I was having a small gathering of Buddhist types at my humble apartment, and Corinne introduced herself as a fellow practitioner who was invited to the occasion by a mutual friend.
I remember how charmed I was at her immediate capacity to be in relationship as if she were an old friend. I invited her in and she showed us all a fascinating video of a trip to India she took as a pilgrimage in relationship to her Spiritual Teacher. She spoke so articulately and with great feeling. All who were present were truly enchanted by her stories. That incident began a friendship which has become one of the most valuable relationships of my life.
Corinne has continually demonstrated to me, and all her companions, a deep love of friendship and passion to serve others. She is also the coolest mom I have ever seen. She has a wonderful teenage son named Devon who everyone knows is going to do amazing things.
Corinne got her BA in Experimental Arts and Film from one of Canada's most prestigious Art Colleges. After she graduated she worked in the Toronto Film Industry for ten years directing and producing her own projects. She particularly enjoyed making documentaries which brought her into contact with a number of spiritual traditions and teachers from different religions -- taking her around the world from India, to Micronesia, Fiji, Mexico, and throughout the US and Canada.
She studied and taught Hatha yoga within the Sivananda School of Yoga. Her sense of adventure and bold embrace of change and challenge has had her sailing the Atlantic ocean on a 25ft sailboat for six months, and scuba diving in some of the most remote and famous locations in the world.
Corinne’s spiritual path has long been the foundation of her life. She became a Ruchira Buddhist in 1988, and ended up moving to Northern California so she could live in community and participate in Ashram life . She currently works as a graphic and web designer, and is married to a man named Jeff who shares her spiritual practice and is also one of my dearest friends. They live in a forest house on a mountain near Napa Valley.
Corinne's insight has always brought me gold. I am proud to have her compassionate, but firm presence in my life. I know you will enjoy her blog. Her point of view is not ordinary by any stretch, and she brings a graceful freedom and humor to every occasion that I’m sure you will find refreshing.
One of our many shared passions is to use the power of the internet to bring good news to many. Corinne and I have joined forces to do just that through the education and information on ways in which you can live healthier, more balanced and happier lives.
We hope you will come to visit often.
